Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a roleplaying video game developed by Big Bad Wolf and published by Nacon. It was released on May 19th 2022 for Microsoft Windows (Epic Game Store), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It is planned to release on Nintendo Switch, but no definite release date was given. Its story is set in Boston, MA, focusing on exploring the local Camarilla politics from the eyes of three distinct protagonists: Leysha of Clan Malkavian, Galeb of Clan Ventrue and Emem of clan Toreador.[1] Its timed exclusivity on Epic Game Store means the game may release on other PC platforms at a later date.[2]

Overview

In Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, player switches in between three characters of different clans and disciplines to explore the investigation around the bloody aftermath of the reunification of Boston and Hartford domains. The game involves mechanics known from Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition, such as Hunger system, Beast, and Masquerade.[citation needed] Player decides on experience expenditure by investing into various dots on each of the three character sheets, which in result unlocks potential new dialogue choices or in-world interactions (like hacking computers or examining found items based on character's knowledge). Player cannot change protagonists on the go, instead they choose the order of scenes played, with each scene in the chapter being shown from a different perspective.[citation needed]
